Laborelec has been rewarded during the 6th GDF SUEZ Innovation Awards, for the implementation of an innovative, cost-effective and safer antiscalant for cooling circuits.

Laborelec has won an Award during the 6th GDF SUEZ Innovation Awards, that selected 20 winners from more than 500 projects. Our winning project concerns the implementation of an innovative, cost-effective and safer antiscalant for cooling circuits: CO2. Exploiting CO2 as a resource: Laborelec’s involvement in KIC-Climate’s EnCO2re project

Laborelec will contribute to the recently approved KIC-Climate EnCO2re programme which will further broaden the approach for CO2 re-utilisation. Under the project management of Bayer MaterialScience,  technology leaders as well as leading European universities and institutes (Imperial College London, Delft University of Technology, Chalmers University of Technology, Laborelec, Institute for Advanced Sustainability Studies, RWTH Aachen, TU Berlin, AkzoNobel) have joined forces in order to leverage a broad utilisation of CO2 as feedstock for chemical value chains. Laborelec’s involvement is mainly related to the evaluation of the CO2 stream categorisation and possible treatment and purification technologies that may be required for its conversion. More info:
