VGB Workshop “Materials and Quality Assurance”

The VGB Technical Committee “Materials and Quality Assurance” organizes its 3rd International Workshop Materials and Quality Assurance on 29/30 April 2015 at the premises of Laborelec in Linkebeek, Belgium.

In the workshop lectures of Lifetime Assessment, Flexibility, Materials/Components, Pumps and Renewable Energy will be presented. One of the main topics is handling damages in boiler circulation pumps.

New website Sustainable Biomass Partnership (SPB)

Laborelec has strongly supported the standardization of wood pellets through the Initiative Wood Pellets Buyers (2010-2012) and Pellcert project (2012-2014). Today, Laborelec is partner in Sustainable Biomass Partnership for the development of a global certification scheme for sustainable wood pellets. More info on their website

Memorandum of Understanding signed with Indra

Laborelec and Indra Sistemas have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in order to provide comprehensive monitoring solutions and related services to the power industry. Indra is a spanish company which provides engineering services, in particular software applications for real-time information, knowledge and decision support. With this MoU, Indra will include several applications developed by Laborelec in his product portfolio, leading to joint business development activities.
